About Us
The ArtxNia Mission
Our mission is to close the gender gap in STEM by creating engaging educational resources that inspire girls of color to see themselves as the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
Educational Resources Rooted in Representation
ArtxNia creates bilingual coloring books, puzzles, and educational activities that make STEM learning engaging and inclusive. Each hand-drawn resource highlights the stories of women of color in STEM, helping girls build vocabulary and curiosity and see themselves in the female innovators who changed history.
Trusted by families, classrooms, and community organizations globally, our educational coloring books and screen-free activities spark confidence and creativity in girls K–8. By connecting art with science, technology, engineering, and math, ArtxNia offers resources that inspire meaningful conversations and help close the gender gap in STEM.
Meet Our Founder, Nia Asemota
Nia Asemota is an Afro-Latina engineer, artist, and educator dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM through creativity and representation. With dual degrees in Computer Science and Biomolecular Science from NYU, and career experience at NASA, Spotify, and Google, she brings both technical expertise and artistic vision to every resource she creates. Her work as a TEDx speaker and instructor with Black Girls CODE further reflects her commitment to empowering the next generation of innovators.
Through ArtxNia, Nia combines her passion for art and STEM to design bilingual educational coloring books, puzzles, and screen-free activities that inspire girls of color to see themselves in STEM. Each hand-drawn illustration and story is rooted in her belief that representation matters—and that every child deserves to learn from role models who look like them and have shaped our world.
